What we welcome

Pitch explainers, comparisons, policy-history pieces, thoughtful examinations of implementation and articles that make a complex public debate easier to follow. We value a defined question, plain language, careful distinctions and a fair account of relevant trade-offs.

What to include

Describe the proposed argument or question, why it matters to readers, the material you expect to draw on and what makes your approach distinct. Mention any relevant expertise or interests that could affect the piece. A pitch is not a guarantee of publication.
